Volcanic eruptions very rarely happens. But when they do happen it leaves behind terrifying destruction and unbelievable damage. Astrology can be used to predict times when there are chances of volcanic eruptions happening. Judging from past history of volcanic eruption one can find a clear pattern. Most of the major volcanic eruptions happened when multiple planets influenced the three fire signs(Aries, Leo and Sagittarius). Another common pattern observed is Mars+Rahu/Ketu placed in one of the three fire signs or aspecting a fire sign. Below are the major volcanic eruptions and planetary configurations at time of eruptions.
On 18th May 1980 the Mount St. Helens in Washington State erupted which resulted in death of around 60 people. On that day Venus+Moon were aspecting fire sign Sagittarius. Mars+Jupiter+Saturn+Rahu were together in fire sign Leo. And fire sign Aries had aspect of Jupiter+Rahu on it. Venus was in Ardra which is considered the nakshatra of fiery God Rudra.
According to official records volcanic activity started much earlier so safe to say Sun in fire sign Aries between Mid-April to Mid-May 1980 also played its part.
On 28th March 1982 there was a volcanic eruption in El Chichon, Mexico which resulted in death of around 2000 people. On 28th March there was Ketu+Neptune in fire sign Sagittarius and aspect of Mars+Rahu on it. Fire sign Aries had aspect of Mars+Jupiter+Pluto on it. Mercury had just stopped influencing fire sign Leo and Moon had just moved out of fire sign. Venus was in Dhanistha which is ruled by fiery Mars.
Mount Hudson valcano located in Chile erupted on 23rd August 1991. On that day fire sign Leo had Sun+Mercury+Jupiter+Venus. Fire sign Sagittarius had Rahu and aspect of Mars on it. While Mars+Jupiter+Rahu aspected fire sign Aries. To be fair Mars was not with Rahu/Ketu at that time. But Mars was aspecting Rahu. Mercury+Jupiter+Venus where all in Magha nakshatra ruled by fiery Ketu.
On 13th January 2022 there was a volcanic eruption in Hunga Tonga, Haapai which is located in the South Pacific Ocean. The volcanic eruption happened underwater. At the start of eruption Sun+Venus were placed in fire sign Sagittarius. Jupiter was aspecting fire sign Leo. Finally Mars+Ketu were together in Scorpio and Rahu+Moon were aspecting it. Scorpio is a water sign so that may have caused underwater volcanic eruption.
There is a possibility of volcanic eruption between Mid-June 2025 to around Mid-September 2025. Mars+Ketu joining together in fire sign Leo and aspect of Rahu on it between 7th June to 28th July 2025 can increase probability of volcanic eruption. Time after 15th July will see Sun+Mercury+Jupiter all aspecting fire sign Sagittarius. Even after that Sun+Ketu will join in Leo and Mars will aspect Sagittarius and Aries. So chances of volcanic eruptions are not ruled out until atleast 9th October 2025.
